Esteemed delegates, faculty, and all participants, it is with immense pleasure that I, Jyotirmay Sharma, the Secretary General, welcome you all to SHMUN’25. This year for the 13th edition of this esteemed conference, we introduce not a theme, but a concept - one of active participation and current issues.
The world is plagued by conflict, and mankind, the apex species, remains imperfect and flawed. We invite delegates to debate a huge variety of agendas that are unique, impactful and relevant. From the reorganisation of Indian states, to the disaster at Chernobyl, the usage of Outer Space, or the unchecked exercise of power across nations, delegates will get an opportunity to become a part of the ongoing debates and gain a platform to engage with different ideas, concepts and ideologies, allowing them to compose and bring to fruition the future they want to see.
